Both
ViewONE Pro and ViewONE and their modules are
licensed by the web site/server rather than by
the user. Each license has no restriction on
the number of users that can access the viewers – either
concurrent or in total.
Every ViewONE
Pro and ViewONEWeb Site/Server license is perpetual,
for a one-time fee.
Maintenance is
available if you would like to keep up to date
with bug fixes, performance enhancements, additional
functionality inclusions etc.
Web Site/Server
licensing means:
 |
For every
separate web service running on a single server
you would need a license for ViewONE.
Example:
a web design agency which hosts a number of
client sites on a single web server, each of
which uses the viewer - each client site would
require a license. (See
fig. 1) |
 |
For every server,
whether in single setup, fail-over, cluster
or load balancing environments, you would need
a license for ViewONE.
Example: an online
delivery note tracking service which had 6
servers all operating off a single URL with
mirrored content, plus two servers in failover
configuration, would require 8 licenses. (See
fig. 2) |
 |
It is important
to note that the licensing policy doesn’t
only apply for externally-facing server environments.
Our viewers are often integrated into internal
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Document
Management (DM) systems, and multiple servers
supporting such systems would each require
their own server license. (See
fig. 3) |
